The members of JaMinn Link aim to serve thier communities by enhancing the Jamaican experience through education, culture and entertainment. We strive to provide a forum through which interested individuals may network while providing mentorship for other young Jamaicans. Our passions focus on youth issues in Jamaica and for Jamaicans.
Armadale: The Tragedy - On Friday May 22, 2009, seven girls lost their lives in a fire at the Armadale Juvenile Correctional Center. In an effort to remember their lives, and to prevent a tragedy like this from happening again we are helping fund a documentary about the fire and the call for systemic change throughout the Juvenile Justice system in Jamaica.
JaMinn Link Fellowship – This program offers an employment opportunity to youth that fosters civic engagement and promotes active participation in Jamaica's human rights challenges.
'JaMinn with...' Series – This is a set of one-on-one discussions with prominent and noteworthy Jamaicans. Each event seeks to shed some light on how Jamaicans have made an impact on the international community.
Volunteer Projects - Several times per year JaMinn Link gets together to give back to our community in Minnesota.
